First of all, silicone is completely toxin-free and is made up of four simple ingredients: Silicon, Oxygen, Carbon, and Hydrogen, which are all naturally occurring. Did you read plastic, BPA, lead, phthalates, or heavy metals there? Nope!

Platinum silicone is a type of silicone that uses only platinum (precious metal) as a catalyzer, which increases its quality, apart from silicone’s other properties. This is the ideal material for manufacturing molds or products that will come into contact with food. Most other types of silicone, including food-grade silicone, use peroxide as a catalyzer instead of platinum. While food-grade silicone is still perfectly safe for your food, platinum silicone takes it up to the next notch to ensure that your family is using the best possible quality products when it comes to handling your food.
