Stainless steel dinnerware is kind of a big deal right now. It's used in kitchens all over the place from restaurants to dining rooms to the innobaby Din Din SMART Sets - but why?

Because it's sturdy, it's lightweight, it's easy to clean, and it's safe, because it's BPA-, phthalate-, PVC-, and lead- free.

innobaby's Din Din SMART sets are some of our favorites (and yours, too) not just because they're cute and versatile (both of which are some of their best qualities, of course), but also because they're made of food grade 304 18/10 stainless steel. Great. But what does that actually mean?

Bus Platter

The 304 is an indication of its resistance to rust (great thing), the 18 refers to the amount of chromium, and the 10 refers to amount of nickel. These levels are considered the best for cookware, but you're not even going to cook with our plates, so you can be extra sure that no chemicals will leach into your little's food. It also means that it's resistant to corrosion by the common acids found in milk, fruits, veggies, or proteins. Excellent information, right?!

Our Din Din Bus Platters have been a fan fave for a really long time, and there's a reason for that. It's high quality, it's easy to sanitize, and they even have optional fun colored tops that make taking lunch/snacks on the go a

breeze. (We recommend sticking to drier foods, though - things like soup won't stay put.)

They even have companion pieces, like toddler cups and bowls that are coated in BPA-, phthalate-, PVC-, and lead- free plastic to protect tiny hands from severe temperature change. (Fun tip - throw that cup in the freezer for a bit and then load it up with hot stuff to cool it down quicker for your little.) We even have a whole Din Din Mealtime Set that includes that amazing stainless steel utensil set.

Additional bonus for the Bus Plate: divided plates are an excellent resource for introducing new foods, getting littles involved in cooking/food prep, and staying healthy, especially when those littles are picky little eaters. Read more about that in our Picky Eaters blog.
