Routines. The word makes some people cringe and some people breathe a sigh of relief. Routine can be an excellent way to establish rules, make sure your littles are eating and sleeping enough, or that they don't have a meltdown in the middle of the grocery store when you have a cart full of groceries while an impossibly long line builds behind you.

Routines are often broken, however. We try to make sure we're in a good place for that essential afternoon nap, but maybe the car broke down, or the only doctor's appointment available for weeks was at 2 pm. Maybe you're on vacation and the time change is a nightmare. Maybe a blow-out diaper put you an hour behind schedule and moved bath day from Tuesday night to Monday morning.

We can't control everything, right? But with some of innobaby's help, you can make your bath time routine just a smidge easier.

Fish Scrub

Obviously we have to start with this lil fishy, especially because this new purple option is to die for. It's so pretty, it's made of 100% silicone (so it'll never harbor mold, bacteria, or weird smells like washcloths and loofahs), and it's so soft you can use it on cradle cap for newborns and infants. (You'll want one in each color for the whole fam, though - they're good for all ages and honestly, they're so much less gross than other sponges and whatnot.) They're also great little bath time toys for your older littles, so maybe there won't be a huge "screaming because all of a sudden bath time is the worst," phase.

Skin care

And of course the best skin care line is here, too: Botanical Therapy. Shampoo, Baby Wash, Lotion, and even a Calendula Stick for that really bad skin (and it can also be used as a lip balm!) - all of it is made with amazing natural ingredients and is perfect for sensitive skin, especially eczema. We posted a blog about baby eczema that goes into a little more detail about that, and really, this will be your new favorite skincare line. I say "you" because it's likely you, your littles, and the rest of the family is going to want to get their hands on this stuff.

Hooded Towel

And of course you need an adorable hooded towel for the little ones, and what better towels than Dono & Dono? These Dono & Dono double-sided hooded towels will wrap your baby in warmth after bath time. They’ll be surrounded by premium, 100% cotton terry, with silky soft cotton muslin on the reverse. This towel is absorbent, durable, and best of all, gentle against baby’s delicate skin, creating the perfect end to their bath time experience.

This towel is treated with a safe, all-natural bamboo process with inhibits the growth of bacteria. This treatment creates a fabric that is moisture wicking, deodorizing, and it also blocks out harmful UV rays, which means it's perfect for summertime, and it resists static electricity, making it ideal for dry weather, especially in winter. It’s all-natural and safe for all ages.

Now you have all the suggestions you need for a pretty easy bath-time routine. We can't do much more than give you some awesome tools, though sometimes a little empathy can go a long way, right?!

And one last word on routines: they can teach babies a whole lot, even at their youngest. It creates boundaries and learning about rules, sequencing, and object permanence. These are super helpful tools in the long run. But like we said before, routines need to change: babysitters, bedtimes, schools, vacations, moves - they'll demand flexibility, which are also excellent skills for your littles to learn. So take help when you can get it, and roll with the punches the rest of it. You're doing great, mom!
